Wood aiming for defensive improvement

Leopards’ guard Findlay Wood is looking for some improved defence from his side as they head into the final two games of the regular season.
The Big Cats host Thames Valley Cavaliers on Sunday March 24 before title-chasing Solent Kestrels visit seven days later. Both games tip-off at 4pm, with pre-game coaching available.
A good shooting performance from Wood couldn’t prevent Leopards going down 100-85 at Bradford on Sunday, and he knows they cannot expect to win games if they concede that many points:
“We knew Bradford is a tough place to go and get a win” said. “They are a very physical side and can control games if you let them. When we score 85 points we should be winning games so we will have to improve our defence for the next two games.
“We end the season with two home games and with good performances we can go into the play-offs with a bit of momentum.”
