Thanks to everyone

Leopards general manager Dave Ryan has praised the players and supporters who have helped the club get through a difficult first season back in the NBL’s top flight:
“I’d like to thank the players who stuck with us, ensured another season of Division One basketball and got us in the play-offs against all odds” he said .
“The players who were with us on Saturday are the guys who’ve stuck with us through a tough season back in the top flight.
“The Board of Directors would also like to thank the supporters who stuck around during a tough time early in the season. Their help and support has ensured we’re in a good position to move forward in 2019/20.
“A special mention should also be made of the players’ parents who stepped up and helped the club. Their help has been very much appreciated.”
While Leopards’ seven man roster battled against big-spending Worthing in the play-offs before falling to defeat on Saturday, one noticeable absentee was American forward Asante Sandiford who decided to miss out on the play-offs and go on holiday instead.
“After the time, effort and considerable amount of money we put into signing Asante, it’s massively disappointing that he decided to go on holiday during the play-offs” said Ryan.
“It’s incredible that a player who claimed that he wanted to be a pro at a higher level decided not to play at a key stage of the season. I imagine that last week’s game at Brentwood will be his last as a professional as no one will want to sign someone who walked out on his team-mates.”
