Shaq’s back for second year

Levett Essex Leopards have announced their fifth signing of the summer with guard/forward Shaq Lewis returning for a second season.
The Luton-based player joined the Big Cats last season, making an immediate impact on his debut against Team USA Select.
Coach Thomas Baker is pleased to see Lewis return to his side: “Shaq has shown the desire and commitment expected of players at this level” he said.
“I have seen him countless times over the summer investing in himself and this is great to see. From my chats I have had with Shaq it is clear he wants to keep improving as a player and that he is willing to give his all to this team.
“I’m really pleased to have him in the back this year and we will continue to build a roster that is ready to go out and win Division Two.”
Lewis is ready for a key season for the Big Cats: “I’m extremely excited and prepared to get the coming season with Leopards underway” he said.
“After having such a poor previous season, I really did take it to heart, which left me with an insatiable hunger to become a better player.
“This off-season has been nothing but hard work because it’s time to get this club back to division 1 and the way to do that is to give everything we have and dominate Division Two.
“Speaking to my teammates I know they’re ready, the coaches are ready and I’m ready,
“Now let’s go get it!”
