Prince ready for Riders test

As Leopards prepare to host Loughborough Riders at Oaklands on Saturday (5.45pm), guard Prince Lartey believes that his side can bounce back from losing their first two games in 2020.
“I’m excited for the upcoming challenge against Loughborough” said Lartey who had a season-high 25 points in the loss against Solent and a double-double in Saturday’s defeat against Barking Abbey.
“It will give us a great opportunity to bounce back after a couple of disappointing results this past weekend. We played some great basketball for 20 minutes against Solent, so hopefully we can take the positives out of that and produce a better performance for all 40 minutes.
“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success – Henry Ford”
Loughborough will arrive at Oaklands in joint sixth place with an 8-5 record and have reached the National Cup semi-final where they will look to repeat last year’s victory against Solent.
When the sides met in the midlands at the start of the season a strong second half saw Riders run out 94-66 winners. The teams split their games last season with Leopards hitting an incredible 20 of their 32 three point shots in a 108-76 home victory.
