Oaklands pair sign up with Big Cats

Leopards have added to their 2019/20 roster with a signings of Oaklands Wolves players Toby Gastaldi-Davies and Simeon Douglas.
Gastaldi-Davies is a guard who has been involved in the national teams pathway at the junior age groups and has been part of Oaklands Basketball Club and Academy for the last couple of years. His two older brothers, Kieran and Aidan were also part of the set up at Oaklands with the latter representing England at under-16 and under-18 European Championships back in 2013 and 2015 respectively. Toby is a player with a bright future in the game and it will be exciting to see how the skilled guard develops during his time with The Big Cats.
“Toby is a young guard who has the ability to knock down the outside shot and is physical in his position” said coach Thomas Baker. “But more importantly he is a humble young man just hungry for the opportunity and I think being part of the Leopards squad this season as well as playing EABL for Oaklands is a natural progression on his basketball journey.”
Douglas is a 6’5″ forward who will be looking to continue his development with the Big Cats this season, the London-born forward has improved vastly during his time at Oaklands and will be looking to maximise the opportunity he has to be part of the Leopards this year.
“Simeon has matured a lot over his two years at the college” said Baker. “He has been a real standout both on and off the court, showing the desire to get better. Again, playing for both Leopards and Oaklands this year is exactly what is needed for him on his journey, I am excited to see what he makes of this opportunity.”
