Leopards add Williams

Leopards beat the January 31st signing deadline to add former London City Royals player Aaron Williams to their roster.
The British guard was a team-mate of Orlan Jackman before the Crystal Palace folded, and he’s looking forward to getting back onto the court with the Big Cats:
“I’m excited to get on the floor with my new teammates as well as reuniting with Chuck [Duru] and Prince [Lartey] who were my teammates at junior level” he said.
“Coach’s transparency made my decision to join the club easy – he has made his expectations for the season very clear.
“I’m ready to do whatever the team needs of me and contribute to winning basketball so we can finish the rest of the season on a positive note. I’m glad to be on board!”
Leopards’ coach Thomas Baker is delighted with his new signing: “Aaron signing for us shows that our intent to improve our league position” he said.
“Having captured the signing of Orlan last weekend, Aaron comes with experience in the BBL and also the ability to change the game with his skillset both offensively and defensively. He’s attitude to what is expectation of him is excellent and he is already having a positive impact on the team.”
Williams’ Leopards debut will be on Saturday February 8 when they make the short trip to Hemel Storm before Thames Valley Cavaliers visit Oaklands College the following Saturday, tip-off 5.45pm.
Tickets for the Keith Tewkesbury memorial game on March 29 are available at a discount until the end of January.
