Lee pleased to be back in action

Centre Lee Hodges is ready to return to action after a weekend off, and is looking to increase the Big Cats’ winning run to six games.
The Big Cats were without a game during the weekend in January, but travel to Derby Trailblazers on Saturday before hosting Manchester Magic at the Brentwood Centre on Sunday (4pm).
“The team has had a nice weekend off after back to back double header weekends” he said.
“We almost didn’t welcome a weekend off after four wins in a row but it’s important to allow your body to recover.
“Now we work this week to get ready for two more tough games. One away then one home at Brentwood, we always seem to attract a decent crowd at Brentwood and I really enjoy playing there.
“Although Manchester have only won one game they can’t be taken lightly and we will need to be at our best to make sure we get a win.”
It will be a revenge mission for Leopards when they travel to Derby on Saturday having been hammered 98-76 by the Trailblazers when they met at Essex Sports Arena in early November.
While success in the cup competitions has elude Matt Shaw’s side, they continue to challenge for the top four, and go into the weekend sitting fifth with a 9-7 record.
Sunday’s opponents Manchester Magic find themselves in unfamiliar territory at the bottom of Division One with just one win – a one point victory against Newcastle – from 15 games, and staring relegation in the face.
They did manage to reach the National Cup quarter-final, stunning Reading Rockets 79-60 after beating Derbyshire Arrows 97-79, but found the new-look Leopards too hot to handle as they went down 87-76 at the Brentwood Centre.
Leopards will stage their normal pre-game coaching sessions for youngsters on Sunday. Book through this website of call 07828 470015 for more information.
