Introducing three Leopards

Findlay Wood
I am extremely excited to sign for the Leopards. Playing in division one will be a great challenge and with the team we have I believe we can do well. Can’t wait to start the season.

Findlay is a great addition to the team. He is an excellent defender and can score from the behind the arc consistently too. His attitude is exceptional and he is a person with international experience having been part of the Scotland and GB programmes in the past. This experience will prove invaluable for us this year.
Wes Flaherty
I think it’s a great opportunity for me seeing as it’s playing at a higher level and I’m lucky to be playing with some great players

Wes is someone who has huge potential in this game. He is raw in his skillset but he makes up for it with his tenacity and energy when he is on the floor. His size will help add a different dimension to the team and I feel he is someone who will continue to grow in both the University and Leopards programmes.

Andre Lavinier
I was excited at the news that I would have the opportunity to play for Essex Leopards. It’s a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a club that has great ambitions both on and off the court. I’m definitely up for the challenge to improve, learn and grow as a player. I’m looking forward to having a great season with my teammates and coaching staff.

Andre is a young guard who has the potential to achieve great things in this game. He comes from a basketball background with his Dad (Dave Lavinier) having coached at Eastside as well as Barking Abbey. He is a player who can shoot the ball well, but what I really like is Andre’s ability to defend the ball and his athleticism that allows him to be disruptive on the defensive end. This is something that I will be looking to use this season within Leopards.
