Directions:
From the M25: Leave M25 at Junction 28, taking the A1023 to Brentwood. Continue to Brentwood town centre, turning left onto the A128 (Ongar Road) at the second of a double mini-roundabout, signposted Ongar. After about 400m turn right onto Doddinghurst Road, the Brentwood Centre is 600m down on the right, just past the underpass beneath the A12.

Directions to Barking Abbey from Brentwood:
Join the M25 and head towards Dartford Crossing. Leave at junction 31 and follow the A13 towards central London. Leave the A13 at the A123 Barking, onto Ripple Road (second exit on roundabout, two garages immediately on left). At traffic lights turn right into Upney Lane, pass Upney tube station on left and continue for approx 1/3 mile. Turn right into Sandringham Road immediately before pelican crossing. Go straight over first mini roundabout before turning left at second into Woodbridge Road. Entrance on right.
