Teni ready to face former club

Leopards’ guard Teni Mongo is looking forward to facing his former team Westminster Warriors as the sides meet in a key game at Oaklands College on Saturday.
“Playing against a former team, and competing against familiar faces is always fun and adds to the atmosphere” said Mongo following his 21-point performance against Bradford Dragons.
Mongo knows the importance of a game that will see Leopards facing the side immediately above them in the Division One table: “for us this is still a must win game and once we’re inside the lines there’s no friends, just the objective of win.”
While Mongo is the only former Warrior in the Leopards’ line-up, there will be plenty of former Big Cats in the visitors’ team. Tosin Oyelese and Lawrence Brown both helped them win the 2015 Division One title, while Warriors assistance coach Dom DaSouza held a similar role with our championship winning side. Justin Hitchman also spent two years with the Big Cats in 2015/16 and 2016/17 alongside Oyelese.
Tickets for the game are available on the door.
Tickets for the Keith Tewkesbury memorial game at the Brentwood Centre on March 29 are on offer until the end of January.
