Baker looks for improvement

Leopards’ coach Thomas Baker is looking for his team to take it one possession at a time as they travel to National Cup holders Loughborough Riders, on Saturday.
“Looking to this weekend, we face off against a Loughborough team who will be raring to go having not played last weekend” he said.
“We have had a good week of practice and have improved as a team on issues that we faced last weekend against Solent. It is important that we compete early and give ourselves the opportunity to be in the game in the second half. For that we must stay together, be disciplined and take the game one possession at a time.”
Riders finished third last season but Leopards produced arguably their best performance under Baker when the sides met in Colchester last season. The Big Cats hit an incredible 20 three-pointers with just 32 shots as they ran out 108-76 winners in what was probably the best shooting performance in the club’s 15-year history. In contrast, the game between the sides in the midlands saw the Riders win 106-88.
