Baker: “it’s been a rollercoaster”

Leopards’ coach Thomas Baker believes that his side have learned a lot despite going winless during their pre-season friendlies.
“Our pre-season is over and it has been a rollercoaster,” he said. But we have definitely learnt a lot about ourselves.
“It has provided us with some key points of emphasis moving in to our first league of the season against last year’s champions Solent Kestrels which will be a great challenge to start the season.”
Meanwhile captain Chuck Duru believes there were positive to take from Sunday’s defeat at Rockets:
“I think the game had some positives despite the loss” he said. “We showed at times that we are capable of playing intense defensively, particularly in the fourth quarter, but we need to work on being consistent for 40 minutes, which we failed to do against Reading.”
