Baker happy with victory

Levett Leopards’ coach Thomas Baker was delighted after watching his side record an 88-76 victory against Sussex Bears at the Brentwood Centre on Sunday.
“I’m really pleased with the tempo we played at in this game” he said. “Sussex really struggled in our willingness to push the ball.
“We created some really high percentage shots due to the excellent ball movement and our ability to get the ball up the floor earlier.
“Defensively we still need to ensure we stay switched on for the whole game as we have a couple of lapses which allows teams to close the gap on us.
“After the weekend before and the debacle of not being able to play Westside, it was good to get back on the floor with the guys, overall it was a pleasing performance in some of our key stats, looking forward to this weekend against Birmingham and Thames Valley.”
