Baker delighted with Cup win

After a weekend where his side split their games, Leopards’ coach Thomas Baker was pleased with the performances.
The Big Cats went down against Worthing Thunder at Oaklands on Saturday before hammering London Greenhouse Pioneers in the National Cup the following day.
“Overall we took positive steps towards the type of team we want to be” said Baker. “Although the result wasn’t what we want on the Saturday, for parts of that game we looked really good and we executed our game plan perfectly. The challenge for us now is to be consistent across the rest of the season.
“The cup game against Greenhouse was like a lightbulb moment for us, the shackles came off and we really came out aggressively from the start. Yes there were still improvements needed in the game but the guys showed character and commitment to us and it was great to see us get a result to go with our performance.”
