Baker can’t wait for weekend

Leopards’ coach Thomas Baker can’t wait to get back into action as his side face another double-header weekend.
The Big Cats were without a game during the weekend in January, but travel to Derby Trailblazers on Saturday before hosting Manchester Magic at the Brentwood Centre on Sunday (4pm).
“After a weekend off, I am looking forward to continuing our season” said Baker.
“Having started off 2019 with three double header weekends, it seems fitting that we begin February with another two.
“First up is a tough road trip to Derby who have had mixed results in 2019 but will be looking to continue from the weekend just gone where they picked up a win against Team Newcastle.
“Their recent signing Isa Brandon has hit the ground running is providing extra support to the likes of Matthew Ward-Hibbert and Malcolm Smith, so we will need to be at our best to upset the home crowd.
“We then face Manchester who have struggled this year but still won’t be easy to beat. They are competing in every game and we must make sure we are disciplined to ensure that we perform the best we can.
“I am confident we can keep our recent performance going and as we get closer to the end of the season it is going to be interesting to see how results shape the league standings, one result can make a huge difference.”
